Save Gift Packaging

When somebody gives you a gift, don't forget to save the packaging it came in.

I'm talking about bows, ribbons, gift bags, and wrapping paper. Store them in a special location, and next time you need to give a gift, instead of buying all the materials again just dip into your stored supply.

It is extremely easy to save bows, ribbons and gift bags; simply put them aside. The bows tend to lose their stickiness over time, but that's easily solved with less than a penny worth of tape.

It's a little more difficult to save wrapping paper, but if you take care when you open your gift instead of ripping it to shreds, you can save the paper too and carefully fold it up for re-wrapping next year.

Trust me, nobody will ever notice. I've been doing this for 25 years and can't remember ever paying for a bow, gift bag or ribbon.

A gift-bow is $1.50, a roll of premium wrapping paper is $4.00, a premium gift bag can cost up to $6.00. You can save a lot of money by re-using these gift-packing materials.
